Civil Military Coordination (CIMIC) independent contractor.

Born in The Netherlands, son of a “Military father” and “Red Cross mother” I probably was destined to be civil-military passionate. With a Business Administration degree I have experience of 30 years as a senior manager in corporate financial services and coaching/consultancy. Parallel I have been serving as a reserve officer in the Royal Netherlands Army for 30 years.

Cooperation in a crisis response environment

In the role of CIMIC advisor, speaker, Observer-Trainer-Evaluator, operator & staff officer I have been supporting international organizations in a multicultural setting for 15 years now. Below you will find my references.

With a vast experience in crisis response mission settings as a field officer, trainer or advisor in Afghanistan, Asia and on the African continent I contribute to many CIMIC related activities. From Abstraction To Action and how to learn from this to prepare military, IO and NGO personnel for cooperation in missions.

The way out of the woods in these cooperation’s is “the art of dialogue”. A more constructive way than discussion, to get people from different cultures and organizations working together.
